HISTORY***
J.V.Mansfield-"The Spiritual Postmaster" obtained
thousands of letters in sealed envelopes addressed
to the spirit friends of the writers. regardless of the
language, he could read the letters clairvoyantly and
wrote replies in the same tongue. When he touched
a sealed envelope with his left hand, his right hand
would begin writing rapidly. The handwriting varied
as the spiritual influence varied.

.
Oliver Lodge
-a renowned physicist and from
1900-1919 was the Principal of Birmingham University. He investigated and became convin-
ced of  Spiritualist philosophy and the contin-
uance of life. He looked upon Spiritualism as a
point of interest in psychical research rather than
being a religion. Although an endorser of
Spiritualism, he remained true to the Christian
church. He wrote
Raymond or Life and Death
in 1916. He communicated with Raymond through the mediumship of Mrs. Leonard.
